The 10th Anniversary Mother's Day Art Show

Friends of Hall-Brooke Celebrate the 10th Anniversary of the Mother's Day Art Show and Sale
A dozen artists from the Fairfield County region have been selected for the Tenth Anniversary Mother's Day Weekend Art Show and Sale, May 12 and 13, 2012, presented by the Friends of Hall-Brooke. The show is held in the Community Room of St. Vincent's Medical Center, Behavioral Health Service, Westport Campus, 47 Long Lots Road, Westport, CT.

To celebrate the tenth anniversary event, participating artists include seven returning Best of Show Winners including: Karen Ford, Dalton Ghetti, Lynn Stephens Massey, Julie O'Connor, Laura Wilk, Ken Scaglia and Katherine Ross.  Selected artists from Fairfield County include: Miggs Burroughs, Cabell Molina, Nancy Woodward, Deborah Weiss and Susan Malloy.  The show's admission, refreshments and door prize chances are all free of charge, as the event is a gift to the regional community.
Show hours are:
   * Saturday, May 12, Noon to 8 PM with the Meet the Artists Gala Reception, 6-8 p.m.
    * Sunday, May 13, Bring Your Mom Day, Noon-4 p.m.

A Best of Show Award of $500 will be presented at 7:00 p.m., Saturday, May 12, during the Meet the Artist Gala Reception.

Whitney Wasserman is chairing the event. Ken Scaglia, Julie O’Connor and Karen Ford are show curators.  Helen Klisser During is the art show Juror.   The Friends of Hall-Brooke, St. Vincent’s Foundation, Jerry’s Artarama, Castle Wine & Spirits and the Betty R. and Ralph Sheffer Foundation are generous supporters of this event.

Local artist Tracy Sugarman will be honored at the Saturday evening Meet and Artists Gala for his contributions to the Westport art community and Hall-Brooke Behavioral Health Services.
A 40 percent portion of show sales supports efforts of the Friends of Hall-Brooke, a volunteer group with a mission to destigmatize mental illness through community outreach and education, and to enhance the excellent clinical care provided by St. Vincent's Behavioral Health Services.  Information on Friends membership is available at the Mother's Day Art Show.
